Fuchi and Kurikata with chrysanthemum design

We have here a Fuchi and a Kurikata bearing the design of the chrysanthemum, the flower associated with the Japanese emperor. Both pieces are made from Shakudo and show gold highlighting. The Kurikata shows half a chrysanthemum blossom covered in gold giving the piece a nice contrast.

The style of both pieces is most likely attributable to the Sendai tradition.

Comes with a standard Kiri box.
