A Ko-Tosho Tsuba in Mu mon (no design) dating from the Nambokucho or Muromachi period (1350 – 1550). It is ubu in original condition without hitsu ana. This is a type of tsuba that had been on most fighting Sashizoe or Katana, most of the black laquer is well preserved, some deeper rust aereas are seen on the seppa dai.
